The Number One Thing Preventing You From Being Happy

How the Ability to Not Give a F*ck What Others Think Will Make Your Life Rule

Have you ever tried to impress others by acting differently—either to nail a job interview or win over a potential love interest? Most people try to fake who they are to get ahead in life, but the reality is that this strategy is almost certain to backfire. It’s just a matter of time.

So what should you do instead? Simple. Stop concerning yourself with what other people think of you. If you’re afraid of being judged by others or simply want to spare your ego, you’re going to end up missing out on a lot of opportunities. Don’t allow yourself to be guided by “what-ifs” or negative feelings to avoid being ridiculed or disliked. Because the truth is that reality is never as terrifying as the dumb sh*t you come up with in your head.

And not only should you not worry about what others think, but you should pride yourself on being your authentic, “weird” self. Most people recognize a phony from a mile away. And besides, your individuality and weirdness is what will draw the right people to you.

So stop trying to copy others or be like them. You will only push people away because no one is interested in a copycat or a fake. Just be original and trust your own ideas and personality.

Of course, this is often easier said than done for most, but you shouldn’t be afraid to ask for help when you need it. People are often hesitant to ask for advice or help from others because they don’t want to be seen as weak. On top of that, people tend to think it’s unfair to bother others with our problems.

However, admitting that you’re in need of guidance is NOT a sign of weakness OR that you are a failure. The truth is that most people actually enjoy helping others. So when you ask someone for help, it can often be a win-win situation because you are giving the other person a chance to share their advice and expertise.

So don’t be afraid to ask others for help or to be your wacky self. We are all a bunch of nut-cases anyway. By letting go of your fears, you will allow yourself to open up and be honest. And that’s all that people really want from each other.
